Course Overview

This self-guided 2-hour online training focuses on behavior management in learning environments. Participants will explore the characteristics of emotional, behavioral, and learning disorders, including ADHD and Autism, and gain a better understanding of how these conditions can impact student behavior and classroom dynamics.

What You’ll Learn

Topics include strategies for managing classroom disturbances and practical approaches for supporting children with emotional, behavioral, and/or learning disorders. Learners will examine proactive versus reactive behavior strategies, discuss the impact of these disorders on student performance, and apply techniques to de-escalate disruptive behaviors while maintaining a supportive learning environment. Assessment methods may include participation, assignments or quizzes, group discussions, and real-world scenario prompts. Participants must score at least 80% to earn 0.2 CEUs or 2 clock hours for the course.
